School Performance
Nansen Primary School converted to an academy within Leigh Trust as of 1st April 2020. It is a 3 / 4 form entry school with a nursery unit offering 39 part time morning sessions. The school serves a rich and diverse local community in the Alum Rock area of Birmingham and is proud to be fully inclusive, welcoming children from a wide variety of backgrounds where all are given equal status for the contribution they make. Our children enjoy learning and celebrate personal and academic achievements both inside and outside the classroom.
Nansen Primary School is a vibrant school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve endless possibilities. The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future.
As a school we are committed to providing a caring and friendly environment; a safe, happy place where children learn and thrive socially, emotionally, physically and academically. We inspire a love of learning through motivating activities and creative teaching which builds on prior learning and promotes lifelong learning.
We strongly value the relationship we have with our parents and recognise that effective partnerships are essential. We appreciate and value the support our parents give us and the role they play in enriching our children’s experiences and supporting their child’s education. Parents are always most welcome into our school to help or to discuss their child’s progress or any matters of concern.
