CEO Welcome

I am pleased to welcome you to Leigh Trust. We are proud of what we have already achieved as a Trust and have proven successes in delivering rapid and sustained improvements, providing all children with the opportunities they deserve to progress and succeed. Our tried and trusted strategies focused on collaboration, team work and the sharing of outstanding practice across our schools, ensures that teaching not only maintains the highest level of standards, but constantly seeks to research and develop methods that seek excellence in all that we do.

We invest in developing and nurturing inspirational leadership across Leigh Trust in order to ensure the best possible outcomes for all children.

On the 1st January 2014, Leigh Primary School formed Leigh Trust, a Multi Academy Trust. There are seven Primary Schools currently within Leigh Trust: -

  • Alston Primary School - (3 - 11 Primary School converted 1st January 2014)
  • Bentley West Primary School - (3 - 11 Primary School converted 1st June 2024)
  • Leigh Primary School - (3 - 11 Primary School converted 1st January 2014)
  • Marlborough Primary School - (3 - 11 Primary School converted 1st January 2019)
  • Nansen Primary School - (3 - 11 Primary School converted 1st April 2020)
  • Summerfield Primary School - (3 - 11 Primary School converted 1st June 2024)
  • Wyndcliffe Primary School - (3 - 11 Primary School converted 1st March 2015)

We have dedicated and innovative staff teams in all of our schools who provide children with the opportunity to develop as individuals, to be successful and grow in confidence, and to become well rounded individuals who have reaped the benefits of all that we offer them.

It is important to us that we follow a collaborative model of working together, to form a family of schools which are not in competition with one another but are there to support one another. As our schools are in close proximity with one another this enables all our staff to work in partnership through the sharing of everything we do, either physically joining together, or sharing planning, documents and policies electronically. This approach ensures consistent practice across all our schools as well as reducing workload and freeing up time to allow our Head Teachers and Senior Leaders to focus on the core purpose of school improvement.

We look forward to continuing our work with all our stakeholders to ensure Leigh Trust goes from strength to strength in providing an outstanding learning community for all our learners.
